Do your kids really know what the Easter holiday celebrates? I highly doubt it. I was thinking lately about how I was raised and what i thought about the Easter holiday. I always thought of it as a time to meet " The Easter Bunny" and get candy. It wasn't untill recent years that i actually realized what we were celebrating.
I asked a fellow classmate, Shelly, what she thought of Easter and how she would expain the holiday. In her response, she told me of how she went to her grandmother's house and picked flowers when she was young and had no clue about what she was celebrating. She talked about eating Easter candy and referred to the April holiday as "A christmas in the spring."
I simply ask if your kids, grandkids, etc. know what Easter is or if they are just celebrating to get the candy and other stuff that comes along with the holiday.
