Candidates File for City Council Races

One of the three At-large seats and all eight Ward seats on Cuyahoga Falls City Council are up for grabs this November in the general election. Each Ward seat carries a two-year term.

The Summit County Board of Elections released the list of candidates who filed petitions on June 15.

At-large Council Candidates

Carrie Hummel Snyder (D)- Snyder is the daughter of current At-large Councilwoman Kathy Hummel.

City Council Ward Candidates

Ward 1: Vincent Rubino (D)- incumbent; Scott C. Steinwedel (R).

Ward 2: Mary Ellen Pyke (R)- unchallenged incumbent.

Ward 3: Ken Barnhardt (R)- incumbent.

Ward 4: Mark Ihasz (D)- incumbent; Marianne Sandy (R).

Ward 5: Diana Colavecchio (D)- unchallenged incumbent.

Ward 6: Don Walters (D)- unchallenged incumbent.

Ward 7: Jerry James (D)- incumbent; R. Greg Roush (R).

Ward 8: Terry Mader (R)- incumbent; Russ Iona (D).
