Office Sought: Ward 5 (incumbent)Β
Elected Experience: Completing six years on Cuyahoga Falls City Council this fall, current council president.
Candidate Statement:Β βI hope to be the continuing voice of reason and thatβs been my goal all along. As well as just being the person who is the communicator between the city and the residents. I ran on the platform that I would hold a quarterly ward meeting so that I could host an event with my constituents, or anybody who would want to show up, to inform them on whatβs going on citywide and Iβve continued that for the past six years.β
Diana Colavecchio said the next round of candidates elected to city council will have tough decisions ahead, including state funding and possible union contracts.
βThe task that city council willΒ have willΒ beΒ to look at our budget very differently from the ways weβve looked at it before to see where we can cut and still maintain as many city services as possible,β she said.
