As a lifetime resident of Ward 2 in Cuyahoga Falls, Mary Ellen Pyke is running for re-election this fall for the Ward 2 seat on city council.
Aside from infrastructure, Pyke said those elected this fall, need experience to make tough decisions coming down the pipeline following state budget cuts.
βI think of the biggest things that weβre going to face in the future is the loss of revenues that weβre going to have,β Mary Ellen Pkye said, Ward 2 city council incumbent.
βWeβre not going to see that in our general fund. And I donβt know if people realize, the general fund is how we pay our police, our fire, itβs how we get our streets resurfaced.β
βWeβre going to making very difficult decisions and weβre going to have to have people on council who can make those decisions,β she added.
