City Is Going Green

Cuyahoga Falls offers meter to monitor efficiency of plug-in appliances.

Cuyahoga Falls residents and businesses can monitor their energy use through a meter that measures how much electricity is used by plug-in lights, appliances and electronic devices. The meter is made available through the Efficiency Smart program administered by American Municipal Power (AMP).

The three-year program is part of the city’s initiative to reduce energy consumption and encourage other sustainability practices. Efficiency Smart encourages electricity customers to adopt energy efficiency measures to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and save money on energy consumption.

Learn more about reducing energy costs by calling Efficiency Smart at 877-889-3777 or visiting the website. Β Efficiency Smart pays the cost for shipping out and returning the meter, which may be used for a period of up to three weeks at no charge to the customer.
