Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society museumΒ offers expanded summer hours
To give area residents additional opportunities to enjoy its exhibits, the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society museum, 2083 Cook St., will be open to the public for additional evening and weekend hours during the months of June, July and August.
During the summer - in addition to its traditional Monday morning hours - the museum will also be open on the first and third Sundays of the month and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 2 β 5 p.m. For those visitors preferring evening hours, the museum also will be open the first Monday of the month from 5 β 8 p.m.Β
The museum will continue to be open Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon, except for holidays.Β
With the expanded schedule, the museum will be open the following dates in June:
Sat., June 8 from 2 - 5 p.m.
Sun., June 16 from 2 - 5 p.m.Β
Sat., June 22 from 2 - 5 p.m.Β
Since last summerβs bicentennial celebrations, the museum has seen a steady increase in visitors. By offering expanded summer hours, the museum hopes to make it even more convenient for residents to enjoy the cityβs fascinating history. The museum has many artifacts, including memorabilia from early area schools, restaurants and shopping areas, as well as information regarding early amusement parks, founding families and area landmarks.
