Mike "Wojo" Wojciechowicz studied acting for two years at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio back in the early eighties and has enjoyed a thirty year career as a community and college theater actor. He has appeared in at least a couple of dozen shows over the years doing various sized roles. He has also appeared in numerous comedy shows at various locations including The Mad Hatter Comedy Club in Painesville and the old Hilarities Comedy Club in Cuyahoga Falls.
On Friday May 3,at the Root Cafe starting at 8PM, he will be doing a one man show which he has tentatively titled "A Hodgepodge and a Mishmash of Miscellaneous Merriment." It is not entirely a comedy show but the emphasis will be on humor. It consists of material he has gathered over the years and has strung together for this show. The show will include dramatic recitations of the classic poems "Casey at the Bat" and "Casey's Revenge" and "The Cremation of Sam MaGee." Also there will be three novelty comedy acts - an act consisting of nothing but tongue twisters - another of original humorous polkas - and then a take-off on a fifties/sixties disc jockey. The show will conclude with two speeches which won several humorous speech contests in Toastmasters International.
