CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT BENEFITS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Two boxes of nails to hear oboe, horn and piano in a distinctive blend of Romantic repertoire
Washington DC-, Cleveland- and Akron-area musicians present a chamber music concert Sunday June 30, 2013 at 2:30 p.m., in the main auditorium of the Akron-Summit County Public Library, 60 South High Street, in Akron Ohio. The concert benefits Habitat for Humanity of Summit County.
Featured performers are Edmond DeMattia, oboist retired from the United States Navy Band, Alan DeMattia, french hornist of the Cleveland Orchestra, and pianists Suellen DeMattia and Richard DeMattia. The concert includes the distinctive trios for oboe, horn and piano of Carl Reinecke and Heinrich von Herzogenberg, and additional musical selections. Audience members of all ages will enjoy the colorful sounds of the oboe and horn - students are especially invited to attend.
Tickets are $20 ($10 youth 16 and under) at the door; advance tickets may be purchased online for $20 ($10 youth) or a Habitat donation of two boxes of nails (one box youth) - see http://benefit-concert.org. The full price of admission will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Summit County and may be tax deductible as the law allows.
