Friends of the Crooked River Hold Annual River Rat Revelry

The meeting, Grandeur in the Gorge:Β  Past, Present and Future, will feature presentations by Mary McClure, author High Bridge Glens of Cuyahoga Falls, who will discuss the history of parks in the area and by Sue Truby, Development Director of the City of Cuyahoga Falls, who will discuss progress on plans to reconnect the city and its neighborhoods to the river and Gorge Metro Park.Β  Joel Bingham, project manager for ENviroScience, Inc., will discuss strategies and outcomes of this summer’s removal of two dam in Cuyahoga Falls. Also, attendees will hear updates on other Cuyahoga River news, including the City of Akron’s Long Term Control Plan for their combined sewers, plans for dams in the Gorge and in Brecksville and progress on the Cuyahoga River Water Trail.
