Pumpkin' Smashing Family Fun

The name says it all, but just in case you’re wonderingβ€”we will be destroying some pumpkins, but in a very unique way. Participants will have an opportunity to take their leftover Halloween pumpkins up 50 ft in a lift and drop them to the ground! If that’s not enough fun…we’ll have free food, hot chocolate, pie-eating contests, and prizes for biggest pumpkin, nastiest pumpkin, best explosion pumpkin, and more.Β  We’ll meet this year on November 3rd from 5-9pm at Heart 4 the City (954 Eastland Ave in Akron) and payment for a ride up in the lift is $1 or a tube of toothpaste, jar of peanut butter or a package of toilet paper all which goes to support our monthly food pantry.Β  The pantry is offered on the 3rd Saturday of each month along with a free community lunch and clothing closet.Β  Bring your friends and family and enjoy a great Fall night out while helping your neighbors in Akron!

Β All the smashed pumpkins will be taken to a nearby farm where they will become great fertilizer.
