Fairmount Theatre Academy Presents Side Show

Fairmount Theatre Academy (FTA), formerly Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory (FPAC), the theatre arm of Fairmount Center for the Arts, is pleased to present Bill Russell’s Tony Award nominated musical, Side Show, at Chagrin Falls High School in the Studio Theatre July 5-7.

Side Show was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical. Based on the true story of Siamese twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. Told almost entirely in song, the show follows their progression from England to America, around the vaudeville circuit and to Hollywood on the eve of their appearance in the 1932 movie Freaks.

Ticket prices are $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for seniors and students. Friday and Saturday performances start at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday matinee starts at 1:30 p.m.
