Fallen Cuyahoga Falls Hero Remembered
Sergeant First Class Daniel Crabtree, who also served as a Cuyahoga Falls police officer, was killed in action at age 31 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
SFC Daniel Crabtree, along with many other fallen heroes, was honored at a plaque dedication ceremony on Saturday at the Massillon Justice Center.
Crabtree, a 14-year U.S. Army veteran and Green Beret, was killed by an improvised explosive device in June 2006 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police Capt. Jack Davis.
Crabtree also served as a Cuyahoga Falls police officer prior to his military deployment.
