Fire Strikes House on Olive Place

A weekend structure fire on Olive Place caused about $80,000 in structure and content damage, Deputy Fire Marshal Tim Mier said.

No injuries were reported in the Saturdy morning blaze. The only outwardly visible sign of a fire is on the south gable, Mier said. and wafer board on third-floor windows blown out by the fire.

Most of the fire was contained inside to storage space and a walk-in closet.

Although still under investigation, the fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical short.
