Where/When: Boston Mills Boarding Station, 7100 Riverview Rd., Peninsula; Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m.
Why Go: Activities for little engineers include inflatable bounces, model railroad display, a maze, a play area, and a Touch A Truck display. The 25-minute train ride will depart every hour, rain or shine.

Where/When: 2085 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls; Friday from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Why go: Lock 4 opens for the Frontiers, which pays tribute to Journey.
Price: Admission and parking is free.
Where/When: M.D. Garage, 1556 West Boston Mills Rd., Peninsula; Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: It's part of a series of free art exhibitions presented by the Crooked River Gang, a volunteer group of local artists. This is the last weekend to check out The American Landscape. Most of the artwork is available for purchase.

4. SPRING CELEBRATION CAMPFIRE
Where/When: Nature Realm, 1828 Smith Rd., Akron; Saturday at 6 p.m.
Why go: Enjoy stories and games around a campfire with naturalist Sarah Matheny. Roast marshmallows over an open flame (marshmallows and sticks will be provided for you). Make sure to bring blankets, chairs and drinks.
Price: Free.
Where/When: Cuyahoga Falls Riverfront/Falls River Square. Saturday, May 28 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Why go: The Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus will present a patriotic concert entitled "Summacare Spirit of America", to honor the men and woman of the United States Armed Forces. The concert kicks-off at 3 p.m. Free family activities start at 2 p.m., including face painting, balloon making and raffles.
*The public is asked to bring non-perishable food and personal care items to the event in support of support Good Neighbors of Cuyahoga Falls, whose volunteers will be on hand to collect the donations.
