Only two points were scored in the second half, but they were crucial.
Cuyahoga Falls trailed 15-14 midway through the 4th, but got lucky after Garfield punter, Troy Robinson, lost a bad snap deep in Black Tiger territory. The live ball bounced over the goal line and Robinson was forced to commit a safety before being swarmed in the end zone by Black Tiger defenders.
In the end, the Golden Ramsβ nonexistent passing game (2-11, 5 yards, 1 interception) killed any chance of a come-from-behind victory.
The Black Tigers will head to (1-1) for their next game on Sept. 7. Kickoff in Kent is at 7 p.m.
