2.  CELTIC WOMAN -- SONGS FROM THE HEART

Where/When: Akron Civic Theatre, 182 South Main St., Akron; Friday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: This all-female ensemble returns to the Civic with a show the whole family can enjoy.

Pricing: $37 to $67.

Where/When: , 1909 3rd St., Cuyahoga Falls; Friday at 6 p.m.

Why Go: This event benefits the . Tickets cover the cost of dinner, soft drink or beer and snacks. Dinner is at 6:15 p.m.; betting on horses begins at 7 p.m. For adults 21 years and older.

Pricing: $15 for dinner; $20 per bet.

4. SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET

Where/When: , 3885 W.Market St., Fairlawn; Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

5.  SUNDAY SAMPLERS AT THE AKRON ART MUSEUM

Where/When: 1 South High St., Akron; Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: It's the first Sunday of the month, which means free gallery admission to the collection and special exhibitions All-Star Jazz: The Photographs of Herman Leonard and Sarah Kabot: Unfolding Space. The Mike Forfia Trio will perform standard Jazz classics and contemporary compositions inspired by the artwork of Herman Leonard in the Lehner Auditorium. Seating is first come, first served.
