Girls Fastpitch Association Looks for Players
Sign up Jan. 28 or Feb. 4 at Northampton United Methodist Church.

The spring fastpitch season is almost upon us. With signups this weekend and next, Brad Kovach, a team leader, has a few words about the Cuyahoga Falls Girls Fastpitch Association.
His goal is to "try and get as many young ladies and teen girls up off the couch and active making new frienships, building their teamwork skills and getting exercise," he said.
It's a non-profit organization where all the money goes directly to the league for the girls.

"You meet new girls and you have fun no matter if you lose or win," said Cynthia Stanfield, fastpitch association player.
Each season, team leaders try to include games at Firestone Park, Akron Racers' home. This way the girls can experience a professional stadium—scoreboard, announcers and all.
