
To give area residents additional opportunities to enjoy its exhibits, the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society museum, 2083 Cook St., will continue to be open to the public for additional evening and weekend hours through August.
During the summer - in addition to its traditional Monday morning hours - the museum will also be open on the first and third Sundays of the month and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 2β5 p.m. For those visitors preferring evening hours, the museum also will be open the first Monday of the month from 5β8 p.m.
The museum will continue to be open Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon, except for holidays. With the expanded schedule, the museum will be open the following dates in August:

Since last summerβs bicentennial celebrations, the museum has seen a steady increase in visitors. By offering expanded summer hours, the museum hopes to make it even more convenient for residents to enjoy the cityβs fascinating history. The museum has many artifacts, including memorabilia from early area schools, restaurants and shopping areas, as well as information regarding early
amusement parks, founding families and area landmarks.
Whether youβre interested in local history, looking for new places to take out-of-town visitors or want to keep your children engaged in learning activities over the summer vacation, a visit to the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society museum is highly recommended. Admission is free.Β
The museum is conveniently located one-half block off of E. Portage Trail. To reach the museum, travel east on Portage Trail and cross Munroe Falls Avenue/Newberry. Continue traveling east on Portage Trail. Cook Street will be the third street on the right. Turn right on Cook Street and drive approximately half a block.Β The museum will be on the left, across from the Portage Trail East apartments.
