Cuyahoga Falls Police were called at 8:15 p.m. the evening of May 16 after the severely injured cat was discovered near the entrance of the drug store, located at 655 Portage Trail. A volunteer took the sick feline to a nearby veterinary clinic, where the animal was euthanized due to a number of irreversible medical issues.
Police are still looking for the person responsible for abandoning the wounded cat.
