Kerry Brillhart Pleads Guilty to Domestic Violence, Discharge of a Firearm in Stow Court

Kerry Brillhart, 53, of Cuyahoga Falls, pled guilty to domestic violence and discharge of a firearm on Monday in

Judge Kim Hoover sentenced him to 60 days in jail, 50 of which were suspended, for the pair of misdemeanor charges, and required he forfeit his gun to the court, according to Stow court documents.

The charges stem from an April 15 incident where Brillhart shoved his girlfriend to the floor of their 8^th Street residence, pulled a handgun and fired shots off above her head.

He also faced a felonious assault charge following the incident, but it was dropped due, in part, to the fact that his girlfriend didn’t sustain serious injuries during the heated domestic altercation.

Brillhart’s sentence didn’t include probation, but Hoover ruled he would face harsh penalties if he engages in any unlawful activity over the next two years.
