Jan. 8 Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society meeting features "Life of Buffalo Bill"
The Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Weds., Jan. 8, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third St.
Speaker for the event will be Richard Best, who will present a program about the “Life of Buffalo Bill.” Best, a Buffalo Bill historian, has given presentations about William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody throughout the state.
Buffalo Bill, one of the Old West’s most colorful figures, gained international fame through his cowboy-themed, Wild West shows that toured the United States and abroad beginning in the 1800s. He received the Medal of Honor in 1872 in recognition of the scouting services he provided for the U.S. Army.
The meeting, which will be held in the Sutliff meeting room, is free and open to the public.
