Mark J. Price to speak at Nov. 13 Cuy. Falls Historical Society meeting
Many people arenβt big fans of Monday morning. However, if you love local history you probably canβt wait for Monday to arrive β because thatβs when Mark J. Priceβs weekly local history column appears in the Akron Beacon Journal. Whether heβs writing about a beloved beagle who attended school in Akron, the Sunday dancing controversy at Riverview Park in the Gorge, or a 1940s quiz designed to help men determine if their sweetheart was marriage material or just a βgood-time Gertie,β his columns always manage to delight, inform and entertain.
You are cordially invited to attend the Weds., Nov. 13 meeting of the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, featuring speaker Mark J. Price, copy editor and local history columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal. The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Sutliff meeting room at the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third St.
