Mercedes Stolen From Natatorium Lot; Death Threat; and Burglary: Falls Police Blotter

Benz theft auto

At 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 19, a man’s 2011 Mercedes Benz C-Class sedan – valued at $31,000 – was stolen right off the Natatorium parking lot. According to Cuyahoga Falls Police reports, the man’s car keys were swiped from his unlocked locker at the city gym. As of Sept. 21, the luxury car had not yet been recovered; however, police said surveillance video at the scene has shed light on who may have committed the crime – a 20-year-old Akron man known for theft. Police are investigating.

On Sept. 20, a 4th Street resident quickly alerted officers after someone he knew threatened to β€œsplit his head open and kill him,” according to police reports. The man wishes to press charges.

Daytime burglary

An Elmwood Street resident called police on Sept. 20 after her house had been burglarized. According to the woman, a MacBook was stolen from her residence. Estimated loss: $1,000. It appears the back door was the burglar’s point of entry in light of a damaged lock.
