Northampton Road Meth House in Police Spotlight Again

The same site as two alleged meth lab-related raids on Northampton Road was being visited again on Monday by law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals office.

Jeff Irwin of the Marshal's office in Akron said two people were arrested Monday: Brenda Allshouse of Akron and her father, Clayton Allshouse, in his Northampton Road home.

Marshals found Brenda Allshouse, the primary target of the raid, hiding in the clothes dryer.

Because Brenda Allshouse was subject of a fugitive hunt, the raid was conducted by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, of which police are members.  

"On our last raid (Aug. 16), Brenda was able to flee custody and we've been hunting her ever since. We've been hunting her pretty steadily for the last month or so," Irwin said. "We got information that she was at her dad's house, which is up there (on Northampton). Her father was recently released from prison."

"She's a crafty woman," Irwin said.

The same house was raided May 4 by the Falls Police Narcotics Unit and the Summit County Drug Unit.

"She thought she could get away hiding in the dryer. We've seen it all. She met her match today. 

"If the Marhals force is looking for you, if the task force is looking for you, you might as well just turn yourself in," Irwin said.
