Police Blotter: Attempted Sneaker Theft and Pink Paintballs

Attempted Theft
A woman told police that on Aug. 26, two male juveniles stopped her son near 12th Street and Roosevelt Avenue and tried to take his shoes.
One of the suspects wore a shirt over his face and told the victim to give him the shoes. Police said that the victim walked away instead.

Criminal Damaging
- A woman living in the 1900 block of Searl Street told police that sometime between Aug. 27 and 28, someone keyed her van and poured sugar in the gas tank causing approximately $2,000 in damage.
- A man living in the 240 block of Kathron Avenue told police that between Aug. 27 and 28, someone scratched the driver's side door of two cars parked on the street. The estimated damage is $400 for both cars.
- A woman told police that on Aug. 26, she saw a 15 to 20-year-old male shooting something at the on Broad Boulevard. Police learned that the male was shooting a paintball gun. The paintballs were pink and left no damage.

- A man told police that sometime between Aug. 26 and 27, someone broke the front security window then the side door to gain access to the concession stand at 3350 Charles St. Once inside, they took $70 in cash and $70 in candy.
