Police Blotter: Not Actually Jailed in Peru

As reported Jan. 20, someone representing his or herself as the Lima Peru Police got a woman to send $2,800 to bail her grandson out of jail. Her grandson was contacted, had no knowledge of the situation and was not in Peru.

  • A 2003 Chevy van was taken from the lot of , Jan. 17. It has a value of $17,995.

Theft

  • Jan. 20, a person witnessed someone break a 2002, black Ford truck's passenger window while it was parked at , 615 Graham Road. The thief reached inside and took a black book bag from the floor with a computer, tablet and graphic calculator. The items were worth $1,740 and the damage amounts to $400. Police have a lead.
