Police Blotter: Ducknapping

Theft

• A resident of the 2800 block of Oakwood Drive reported the theft of two concrete ducks from her yard the night of Nov. 15. Loss was estimated at $75.

• A resident of the 1000 block of Munroe Falls Avenue said his cellphone, valued at $200, was stolen on Nov. 16.

• A resident of the 300 block of Pleasant Meadow Lane said someone made online purchases for $268.75 using her Mastercard without her permission on Oct. 24.

• A customer at the , 1767 State Rd., reported that his credit card holder was taken and charges of $282.12 were made to the card at various locations between Nov. 12 and Nov. 14.

• A resident of the 1800 block of Second Street reported that a bottle of Vicodin was taken from his kitchen counter between 7 p.m. Nov. 11 and noon Nov. 12. Loss was estimated at $50.

• A resident on the 1400 block of Anderson reported that her landlord/roommate had placed her belongings on the back porch between Nov. 12 and Nov. 14, but several clothing items valued at $1,025 were missing.

• About 200 gallons of gasoline, valued at $650, was stolen from a locked storage tank at the city-owned at 1667 Bailey Rd., between Nov. 10 and Nov. 15

• Alvin Jackson of Akron was arrested on charges of theft at 1:35 p.m. Nov. 14 after the store manager at Walgreens, 2645 State Rd., said he took seven T-shirts valued at $69.93.

• The finance manager at KNH Wholesale, 640 W. Portage Trail, reported a Ford F-150 was taken from the dealership between Nov. 12 and Nov. 14.

• Two Akron residents were arrested on charges of theft at about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 13, after police said they were caught removing about 1,200 pounds of steel from G&S Steel, 3400 Cavalier Trail. Wayne W. Weisner and Debbra L. Kelly, both of Akron, were charged with theft. Kelly was also given a prohibited weapon charge. Police found a 3-inch blade was found in her purse.

• A mountain bike was taken from the parking lot of , 2481 Front St., between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Nov. 13. Loss was estimated at $150.

• A 24-foot white trailer full of tools was taken from the parking lot at , 1767 State Rd., between 3:45 and 11 a.m. Nov. 12. The owner estimated the loss at $10,000.
