Police Blotter: He Doesn't Get the Hint that It's Over

Telecommunication harassment

• A Grove Avenue resident’s ex-boyfriend has made several hundred unwanted calls to her cellphone since she broke up with him last week, she told police on Nov. 14.

• A resident of the 4200 block of Americana Drive told police she has received numerous unwanted calls, text messages and messages on Facebook. Police referred her to her cellphone and Internet service providers.

• A resident of the 1700 block of Chestnut Boulevard said her 13-year-old daughter received two cellphone calls and a Facebook message that made her fearful between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11.

The manager at the Akron Police Department Credit Union, 1570 Akron-Peninsula Rd., reported that a customer passed a counterfeit check for $1,650 on Nov. 7.

Criminal trespassing

An Akron man was arrested on criminal trespass charges at about 5 p.m. Nov. 16 when he delivered two letters to employees at , 1900 23rd St., after he had been told to never return to the hospital.

Aggravated menacing

A resident of the 300 block of Jackson Avenue reported that a known man threatened to kill him by letter and phone call between Oct. 31 and Nov. 15. The resident was referred to the law department to prosecute.
