Police Blotter: If You Think the Food’s Bad Now, Try Complaining About It

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Menacing

A resident of Falls Village, 330 E. Broadway, reported that a member of the kitchen staff  came up to his room and threatened the resident if the he complained about his food order. The resident said he’s willing to prosecute. Police said there was a witness to the incident.

Breaking and entering

A postal carrier reported a break-in on the 400 block of Jackson Avenue that had occurred between Sept. 29 and Oct. 3, damaging the front door in the process. The property owner told police the property had been vacant for about a month. Damage was estimated at $500.  

Auto/truck theft

A white Freightliner truck was reported stolen from a parking lot at 3457 State Rd. the night of Oct. 3. The vehicle is valued at $15,000.

Theft

• A student at Cuyahoga Falls High School, 2300 Fourth St., reported that a lime green iPod Nano with lime green headphones and black earbuds were taken from her unlocked locker on Oct. 3. Total loss was $200. Police said cameras were not operating in that hallway at the time.

• A Stow resident reported that her hooded jacket containing car and house keys was stolen at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth St., at about 11 p.m. Oct. 1. Police said Monica Jo Bowman of Cuyahoga Falls was caught on video taking the property and was later found in possession of the property and charged with theft.

Criminal damaging

• A custodian at St Luke’s Church, 2879 Sixth St., reported that a sign had been spray-painted and a bush removed, causing $75 in damage, the night of Oct. 4.

• A custodian at DeWitt Elementary School, 425 Falls Ave., reported that gold paint had been sprayed on two doors at the school, causing an estimated $100 in damage. Police said there are no leads.
