Police Blotter: Men Hit With Tire Iron

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two men told police that around 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 24, a white male came up to them in the 2000 block of Chestnut Avenue and hit them with a tire iron. Both men had two-inch lacerations on the back of their heads which required medical attention and stitches.

Police said the two men were extremely intoxicated, refused to fill out statements and refused prosecution. The suspect told police that he believed the two men were going to attack him, and hitting them with a tire iron was in self defense.

The suspect filled out a witness statement, but police referred the two victims to the prosecutor's office.
