Police Blotter: Roughed Up During Robbery

The following information was provided by Cuyahoga Falls police. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery 

• A resident of the 800 block of Lehigh Avenue told police she was attacked by an unknown assailant or assailants, kicked in the lower back and robbed of her Ralph Lauren Polo shoes outside her home at about 3 a.m. Nov. 28. She also said she hit her head on the ground. The shoes were valued at $150. She did not seek medical attention.

• Somebody stole 30 Percocet pills from a pill bottle in her bedroom nightstand between 8 p.m. Nov. 23 and 9 p.m. Nov. 24 on the 300 block of Pleasant Meadow Boulevard.

• A resident on the 1800 block of Ninth Street reported a backpack with several knives, three boxes of shotgun shells and other hunting gear from a vehicle parked in his driveway between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. Nov. 29.

• A resident on the 3300 block of Brookside Lane told police he wired $1,482 via Western Union to a person in Spain who claimed to work for JMK Ventex (secret shopper), and received a check for $1,997.10 that turned out to be fictitious. These transactions took place between Nov. 20 and Nov. 28.

• A Silver Lake resident reported that his .50-caliber Grizzly semiautomatic gun, two magazines and a holster were stolen at the range at , 2417 Front St. between 1 and 3 p.m. Nov. 12. The gun is valued at $3,000.

• A resident on the 3500 block of Wyoga Lake Road reported that someone made an unauthorized withdrawal of $29.96 from her checking account without her permission between Nov. 2 and Nov. 15.

• A resident on the 400 block of Center Avenue said somebody made $141.43 in charges on his debit card without his permission between Nov. 14 and Nov. 21.

• The owner of a new cellphone told police the phone was mailed to her former address on the 1700 block of Myrtle Avenue, and the package was opened by her former roommate, who the owner said gave her the phone but kept the box, instructions, battery and battery cover, between Nov. 23 and Nov. 27. He claims to have no knowledge of the other items. She said she intends to prosecute.
