Police Blotter: Sweet Tooth Averted at Drug Mart

Theft

• A man attempted to steal four candy bars worth $3.16 from the Drug Mart at 655 West Portage Trail, Dec. 10. The suspect was escorted to the security office, but fled. Two female employees tracked him down and held him until police arrived.
• A 2000 Dodge Ram with a plow was stolen from a Ron Marhofer lot at 1350 Main St., Dec. 10.
• A card was stolen from an apartment at 1860 2nd St. As of Dec. 11, the thief racked up $540 on the card.

Drug Possession

• A man was reported to have overdosed on heroin at 3140 Norwood St., Dec. 11.
