Police Blotter: Truck Stolen, Wedding Rings Missing

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Truck, plow stolen from business

An administrator for a company located in the 200 block of Portage Trail reported to on Monday that a company truck and plow valued at $25,000 had been stolen during the previous 24 hours.

The administrator said the 2007 Ford F250 truck, equipped with a plow mount, had been parked in the lot behind the office building. A V-plow was also taken from the lot.

Wedding rings reported missing

A resident of the 1400 block of Crest Avenue reported Tuesday that her diamond wedding ring and band valued at $11,250 in 1996 were missing from her home. She believes they were taken some time between Oct. 5 and 23.

Items taken from unlocked vehicles

  • A resident of the 1000 block of Seibel Drive reported Monday that someone entered his unlocked 1996 Dodge parked overnight in an apartment complex parking lot and took 100 heavy metal CDs valued at $1,000.
  • An Akron man reported Tuesday that someone entered his unlocked 2005 Saturn Ion while it was parked overnight in front of a friend's house in the 1700 block of 8th Street. Stolen were an mp3 player and cash with a combined value loss of $510.
