Police Offer Lucrative Reward to Capture Grave Vandals
Cuyahoga Falls police, with the help of Crimestoppers, is hunting vandals who destroyed 40 gravestones and monuments at Oakwood Cemetery last week.

On Thursday afternoon, Cuyahoga Falls police posted a note on their Facebook page notifying fans that an unknown number of vandals destroyed 40 gravestones and monuments at Oakwood Cemetery, located at 2420 Oakwood Drive.
Crimestoppers is offering a reward in exchange for information that leads to one or more arrests. Falls police pledged it would match the amount to increase the likelihood of finding those responsible.

Jeff Amburn, superintendent of the Falls' buildings and grounds maintenance department, said the vandalism occurred sometime between March 28 and 29.
The crime was reported by a grounds worker on March 30.

A Crimestoppers representative said the reward amount may vary depending on how helpful the tip is to local law enforcement.
This is the second time a major vandalism has occurred at the cemetery within the last 12 months.
