Ravenna Man Arrested in Cuyahoga Falls

Portage County sought Thomas Ingram on multiple counts of theft.

Portage County Sheriff David W. Doak announced the arrest of Thomas L. Ingram Jr.  The arrest on Friday came as a result of an anonymous tip made to the Portage County Sheriff's Office in response to an earlier press release.

Authorities learned that Ingram was staying at a motel in Cuyahoga Falls. With the assistance of Cuyahoga Falls police, Ingram was taken into custody without incident.  Ingram is being held at the Portage County Jail, where he will be held until his initial court appearance to be held at 1:15 p.m. Monday at the Ravenna Courthouse.

Multiple arrest warrants have been issued, Doak said.  These include three fifth-degree felony counts of theft  and seven first-degree misdemeanor counts of theft.

Doak reports that over the last several weeks there has been an increase in the reports received by the sheriff's office concerning thefts from vehicles. During the investigations of these thefts, Ingram was identified as being one of the primary subjects involved. The investigation into these thefts is ongoing with additional charges expected to be filed.

Some of the stolen items have been recovered. Anyone with further information is asked to call 330-296-5100.
