Rock Dropped on Pickup Hood, Stealing Cheap Wine, $6,000 in Paint Equipment Stolen

Criminal damaging

• Somebody threw eggs at a house on the 700 block of Hollywood Ave at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

• A rock was dropped on the hood of a pickup truck as it passed under the railroad bridge at park at 11 p.m. Sept. 7. Damage to the truck was estimated at $500. 

• A resident of East Broadway told police somebody did an estimated $768 of damage to her black Nisson between June and Sept. 7.  

Theft

• A security officer at , 230 Howe Ave., reported that a woman stole four bottles of wine valued at $12.40 at about 4 p.m. Sept. 8. A Canton woman was arrested and the wine recovered. 

• The general manager at Aaron's, 629 Howe Ave., reported that somebody took an HP laptop computer valued at about $1,400 from its display and fled the store at about 3:40 p.m. Sept. 7. When an employee gave chase, he dropped the laptop and kept running. 

• A resident on the 2000 block of Stone Street said his roommate kicked him out of the house on Sept. 4 and won't allow him in to recover property valued at more than $3,000. Police told him to contact the prosecutor's office. 

• An employee of Pettigrew told police someone stole a 1-foot bucket that goes with a Komatsu piece of equipment from a work site at Front Street and Sacket between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 7.  Loss was estimated at $1,000.

• An airless paint sprayer, 200 feet of hose, a spray with tip and 60 gallons of paint were stolen from the rear of , 75 Graham Rd., between 7 p.m. Sept. 3 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 7. Loss was estimated at $6,000.

• A Chestnut Boulevard resident told police he left his ATM card at the , 2150 State Rd., on Sept. 2. He told police the card was used to make a $831 purchase at a Best Buy in Pittsburgh.

• A resident of the 1500 block of Second Street told police two known people stole at least four of her credit cards charged more than $10,000 to the cards without her permission between Aug. 25 and Sept 7. 

Criminal trespassing 

A loss prevention officer at , 445 Howe Ave., told police a recognized a man who had been banned from Best Buy in the store at about 7:50 Sept. 8. He left before police arrived.
