Rockin’ On the River Going Out With a Bang

Classic, hard rock finish off summer season at Falls River Square.

The final installment of this season’s Rockin’ on the River takes a little twist Friday night, adding a third act to open the evening’s entertainment at Falls River Square. All three bands are based in Northeast Ohio.

Headlining the show is AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck. Lead guitar player Ricky “Young Angus” Miller is the star of the show, reportedly doing a convincing Angus Young. Vocalist Scotty “Stinger” Stenglein knows how to work the crowd, singing in the styles of both Brian Johnson and the late Bon Scott. Get plugged in; these guys are high voltage.

Perry’s Suede Brothers start the evening off at about 5:30 p.m. This hard-rocking trio has received some good local reviews of its recent third CD and can be seen around the Cleveland area.

Sandwiched between those two bands is Stranglehold, a tribute to the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent.

Tonight’s giveaway prize is a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, including airfare. Tickets for the drawing are at designated tents. Winner must be present to claim prize. The drawing is scheduled for between 9:30 and 10 p.m.

As always, food and beverages are available for purchase at Falls River Square. Coolers are not allowed.
