Threats Delivered Via Cellphone, Text Message

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Telecommunications harassment

• A resident of the 2500 block of Ninth Court reported that a man he knew is making threatening phone calls. The resident was told to notify his cellphone carrier, and he said he would prosecute.

• A Tifft Road resident reported her boyfriend sent a text message at 5 p.m. Sept. 29  threatening to attack her with a hammer. She was referred to her provider’s annoyance call bureau; she declined to prosecute.  

Criminal mischief, vandalism

• Several incidents of vandalism and criminal mischief were reported between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 1 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 2 on Keyser Parkway and Ravenshollow Drive. One resident said he would prosecute, although there are no suspects.

• A juvenile was arrested about 10 a.m. on Oct. 1 after a resident of the 3400 block of Prang Drive saw someone outside her home just after hearing the back door window being broken. The juvenile fled and a suspect was later arrested. His parents were notified by police.

Drug abuse, drug paraphernalia

Denielle Forney, 42, of Cuyahoga Falls was issued a citation after police found marijuana and mesh screens in her car during a traffic stop about 3 a.m. Oct. 2. She was cited with speeding, DUI and blood-alcohol content. She has a court date in Stow Municipal Court at about 8:45 a.m. on Oct. 5.

Auto theft

A resident of the 1400 block of Second Street  reported that a 1997 Toyota Camry valued at $4,000 was stolen from the driveway between 6 p.m. Sept. 28 and 11 p.m. Sept. 30. The resident said he will prosecute.
