Traffic Alert: Howe Avenue Entrance Ramp Shutting Down Tuesday, May 1

Starting Tuesday, May 1, the State Route 8 North/Howe Avenue entrance ramp will be closed for 45 days due to embankment work, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Detour signs will take motorists from Howe Avenue to Main Street to Newberry Street to Broad Boulevard.

The work is part of a $200,000 project to complete bin wall repairs to Route 8 and Howe Avenue. The overall project will most likely be wrapped up by October.
