Two Suspects in Road Rage Arrested, One Shot Fired

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two men were arrested after a road rage incident that police say included shots being fired.

At about 7:30 a.m. Sept. 22, officers responded to the incident near the area of Tallmadge Road and Howe Avenue. The two vehicles involved already had fled.

Using a description of the two cars, Tallmadge police stopped both suspects on Northwest Avenue a short while later.

Robert R. Mitchell, 22, of Akron, was charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits, a first-degree misdemeanor. Eddie Holland, 47, of Cuyahoga Falls, was charged on one count of aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Police said threats were made and one shot was fired from a handgun. The bullet missed its intended target and hit a passing car that was not involved in the fight.

Nobody was hurt. The passing vehicle was slightly damaged from the bullet.
