Update: Armed Robber Identified as Bradley Rogers

Man fled to apartments after taking cash from Pulp Smoothie.

Thursday, got a call at 6:08 p.m. about a man, Bradley Rogers, with a gun in Pulp Juice and Smoothie Bar on Buchholzer Boulevard.

"He brandished a gun, and fled with an undetermined amount of money," Sergeant James Singleton said.

Rogers ran to an apartment complex behind the store and up to his apartment possibly shared with a girlfriend. Police called in the Cuyahoga Falls SWAT team and residents were evacuated.

"Negotiators were able to get the woman out of the apartment," according to a Cuyahoga Falls Police press release.

Rogers refused departure and threatened to harm himself or officers, the press release said.

SWAT team members let pepper gas into his apartment, and at 10:20 p.m., he "eventually surrendered," said Singleton.

He was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries and remains there until released and arrested, according to the latest Cuyahoga Falls Police press release.
