VIDEO Cleveland Orchestra Grows Younger Audience, Showcases Irving Berlin

The Blossom Festival at featured a concert by the Cleveland Orchestra on Sunday. The show paid tribute to Irving Berlin-- the man many refer to as the American songwriter. The show titled Irving Berlin: From Rags to Ritzes, included tunes he’s best known for, such as "Blue Skies" and "God Bless America".

At the beginning of the festival season, five corporations pledged to donate a total of $6 million to pay for the launch of an audience development initiative.

The Cleveland Orchestra’s Center for Future Audiences focused on exposing a younger audience to the live performances this summer in the β€œUnder 18 Free” program. So far, thousands have taken advantage of the experience.
