Viewfinder: Almost Queen

Tribute band plays classic hits, less-known fan favorites.

Almost Queen was a crowd pleaser Friday night at Rockin' on the River.

The tribute band has the look and the sound of the original Queen. Broadway Veteran Joseph Russo has Freddy Mercury's look, and performing live he had the sound as well. Steve Leonard's guitars sound convincingly like Brian May's.

Almost Queen's encore set included Queen's tour de force, "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Skinny Moo opend the evening with a funky set that included the ever-popular "Play that Funk Music."
