The answer is change triggered by technology. Information spread via technology is a major form of energy. It is the first form of energy. It stands outside the second law of thermodynamics. It does not degenerate into heat and friction. It can be stored and forwarded. It has little loss of meaning. It is durable for the long-term. And, it is effective in the short-term.
