To answer the above question, we need to know more about where a person fits into the situational learning process.
And, we can only ask the person(s) the following questions:
1. Are you unable to learn ...? Meaning, you do not have the tools.
2. Are you unwilling to learn ...? Meaning, you have the tools but do not feel like using the tools and training available to you.
3. Are you willing to learn, but, unable to learn ...? Meaning, you will work to learn -- if you have the tools.
4. Are you willing and able to learn ...? Meaning, you are empowered to progress.
If the situation is #2 then you own and control your situation and nothing will change for you. Friends and neighbors will move on.
If the situation is #1 or #3 then our community may be able to help you.
If the situation is #4 then you may be able to help our community at ever lower costs in time and money. Meaning, the tools are getting cheaper and more powerful.
We could drill down and detail the above variables. But, I will defer the detailing until this part of the conversation is situationally useful.
Next time: Do we compromise our privacy when we publicize our interest in helping our community?
