Workplace Death Threat; $36,000 Theft; Swiped Coach Bag; and Stolen Jewels

Fast food fury

On Jan. 5, a woman asked a co-worker to perform a task while on the job, but the fellow employee didn't take too kindly and responded with a death threat. Alarmed, the woman called Cuyahoga Falls police and officers arrived at the Howe Avenue fast food restaurant where the women work. After conversing with the cops, the threatened woman opted not to press charges. 

So long, Coach

An absent-minded student forgot to lock her car after pulling into the Cuyahoga Falls High School parking lot on Jan. 4. When she returned to the car, her Coach book bag and its contents were reportedly missing. Estimated loss: $900. There are no leads or suspects.

Felony theft report

A Cuyahoga Falls man reportedly paid a housing developer $36,000 to work on his property, but claims the company used "the money outside the scope of its intended purpose," according to the Jan. 4 police report. The Crestwood Circle resident intends to prosecute and the matter is under investigation. 

Seen my ring?

A Falls resident called police on Jan. 4 and reported that someone entered his house in the 2000 block of State Road and stole his wife's wedding ring. The theft allegedly occurred on Dec. 8. Estimated loss: $8,600. The couple intends to press charges if the thief is found.
