1. Ohio bipartisan effort would limit Flock camera use (fox8.com) — Dayton residents may see state lawmakers move to limit or even ban Flock license plate reader cameras, a technology the city itself has already stopped using over immigration-enforcement concerns. A bipartisan pair of Ohio representatives wants strict statewide limits, while Dayton's Rep. Phil Plummer argues local governments should decide whether to keep or drop the cameras based on community input.
2. Six month anniversary of Ashley Flynn's death; Caleb Flynn trail soon (wkbn.com) — Dayton viewers are following a high-profile case as the six-month mark passes since Tipp City teacher and mother Ashley Flynn was found shot in her home, with her husband now accused in her death. Her trial, repeatedly delayed, is scheduled to start Sept. 17 in open court, where the couple's two daughters are expected to testify, while the community continues raising support for the children.
3. Rockets Fall in Season Opener to Dayton on Late Goal - University of Toledo Athletics (utrockets.com) — The University of Dayton Flyers women's soccer team edged Toledo 2–1 at Baujan Field, winning on an 89th‑minute goal in Dayton. The Rockets struck first, but Dayton equalized before halftime and dominated shots and corners, with local fans seeing a strong early‑season test for both programs.
4.
