Suspect crashes stolen Dayton cruiser into home in chase, multiple officers hurt (wlwt.com) — Late Thursday night, a suspect stole a Dayton police cruiser during a chase and crashed it into a home on Greenway Street, injuring two residents and seven officers. Dayton readers should know that all injuries were reported as non-life-threatening and the suspect, also tied to other alleged crimes, was quickly taken into custody after the dramatic incident.
3. Squeeze Cancel Virginia Show After Worker Killed in Parking Lot Before Gig (billboard.com) — Fans near Dayton should know that Squeeze's Friday night concert at the Rose Music Center at The Heights is still scheduled to go on, despite a fatal accident that forced cancellation of their Virginia show the night before. The band expressed condolences to those affected while confirming they'll continue their North American tour, including the local date.

Piper Enforcer (piperowner.org) — A rare Piper PA-48 Enforcer, a turbine-powered evolution of the P-51 Mustang, is stored at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson near Dayton. The story traces how this unusual aircraft was developed for counter-insurgency roles, why it never entered full service, and why only two examples remain today.
