In my previous post we spoke about numbers. Now we will speak about momentum. Highschool science teaches us that momentum is not about numbers but rather about gaining so much steam that nothing can stop you.
To accomplish this feat you attempt to create a movement. A movement needs public opinion on its side. If you were to look to get public opinion on your side a reputable source would definitely help your burgeoning industry. The Washington Post was the source that declared 3-d printing as the next great leap in technology. It mentioned the personal computer, smart phones and now the 3-d printer. We are looking at bilateral adoption by industry and consumers. There has to be a natural progression of information age to tangible items which leads us to true innovation.
A piece of true innovation that I found is 3-d printed objects turned into musical instruments. We previously discussed the topic of 3d printed casts. We now have two musicians that have turned these casts into musical instruments. This would shed a whole new light onto the ability to rehabilitate and fine art. These pieces are currently touring Canada and Europe.
