Bath Community Fund announces first grant cycle
Applications accepted for historical, environmental, arts and culture, youth, education, social service programs
Just two years after it was established, Bath Community Fund of Akron Community Foundation will award its first grants to nonprofits serving Bath Township.
The fund, which was created in 2014 by a group of committed Bath residents, is a permanent endowment dedicated to strengthening the Bath community for current and future generations by providing leadership, fostering collaboration and creating a legacy of charitable giving.
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Bath Community Fund has grown so quickly that we are already in a position to give back to the Bath community, which is exactly why the fund was created,” said Mary Anne Krejci, Grant Committee chair. “These grants will meet existing needs in the township and enrich the lives of residents throughout our community.”

Bath Community Fund will accept grant applications for programs that preserve the township’s historical and environmental legacy; enhance the local arts and culture landscape; serve youth through education and recreation; and meet residents’ social service needs. Approximately $15,000 will be available for grantmaking.
“Grant awards will be determined by how closely the projects align with BCF’s goals, objectives and mission,” said Jen Hardin, BCF Grant Committee member.
